What's "play" mean here? I only know it as a verb, but not sure what it means as a noun.

A play is a theater (acting) performance that is seen live. To help you better understand what it is, you can think of it as a live movie or drama, similar to how a musical is a live performance of both songs and acting! Famous examples of plays include ones by Shakespeare, such as Macbeth or Romeo and Juliet. Ex: Tickets for the new play sold out this weekend, I'm so crushed! Ex: I enjoy watching plays more than musicals, because I'm not very interested in music.
