What's the main difference between "difficult for me" and "difficult to me?"

“Difficult to me” is not quite correct to use, at least within writing. “Difficult for me” is correct here. If you used a verb after “to” it would be correct! But, since this is something you could get away with in conversation, the difference is that “to me” would imply something personal to you, whereas “for me” would be more general. Ex: It's important for me to study abroad. => It's important in general Ex: It's important to me to study abroad. => they personally care about it. Ex: This is so difficult to do.
