To "help yourself" to something means to serve (help) yourself to it, taking as much as you want/need. The expression "help yourself" is used to welcome others, to tell them that there is no need to be shy about consuming the food or drinks that are available to them. It can also be used in other situations to describe other items or objects. Ex: We have a lot of cake. Help yourself, guys! Ex: I helped myself to some cookies and milk earlier.
