"Dignity" is a noun that refers to the state of being worthy of respect and honor. A calm, controlled behavior that makes people respect you, or the importance and value and person has. Ex: He was considered a man of dignity and determination by many. Ex: I lost my dignity when I had to dress up as SpongeBob for Halloween. => perhaps seen as foolish and unworthy of respect Ex: The singer behaved with dignity even when they were booed. Ex: Every human deserves to have dignity. Ex: Inequality can lead to people losing their dignity and not being treated fairly.
