"CV" stands for "curriculum vitae!" It's Latin, and it means "course of life." This makes sense since the document is meant to briefly state one's work-life experience. But "curriculum vitae" is a little too long to say, so most people just say "CV" or "resume." Ex: I need help writing my resume! = I need help writing my CV!

Althought "tip" is the best word for this situation and any other situation that requires the giving of small pieces of advice, you could potentially use "piece of advice" or "trick" to replace it. Ex: I can share some cooking tricks with you. Ex: Do you have any pieces of advice to share?
