What's the main difference between a "belly" and a "stomach?"

A "belly" refers to what one can physically see on the front side of a person and is generally referenced when talking about having a bit more fat in that area. Whereas, "stomach" refers to what one can physically see on the front side of a person, as well as the organ inside one's body! "Stomach" also has a more serious tone than "belly". Ex: Be careful! People can see your belly when you lift up your shirt. = Be careful! People can see your stomach when you lift up your shirt. Ex: You have a bit of belly after the holidays. Ex: My stomach isn't feeling so great. I need some medicine.
