What's "used to" mean?

"Used to" is used to express that something was the case in the past, but not anymore. For example, if I say I used to be a teacher, it means that I was a teacher in the past but am not a teacher anymore. In this video, "something I used to have" means that he once had something, but that's not the case anymore. Ex: I used to swim on the weekends, but it's been too cold recently. Ex: She used to watch a movie everyday after work, but recently she's been too busy.
