A "spree" is a noun that means a short period of time doing a particular activity more than usual. There are many types of "sprees" that one can have. If it's an activity usually done slowly or occasionally, and then you do it intensively, that can be called a spree. The most common are "shopping sprees," "drinking sprees," "cleaning sprees," and "spending sprees." Ex: I was terrified when I heard about the shooting sprees. Ex: I've decided to go on a shopping spree this weekend. Ex: She's on a spending spree and hasn't saved any money.
