What's the main difference between "dangerous" and "risky?"

If something is "risky," it means it could go wrong- it may not go as planned and could have a potential loss. But if something is "dangerous," it means it is full of danger. There could be harm or injury. So, something could be "dangerous" and "risky," but something risky may not be dangerous. Ex: My mom always said that skiing is dangerous. = My mom always said that skiing is risky. Ex: Investing in this company is a bit risky, but it should work out.
