It does, yes! To "criticize" someone is to point out flaws or the faults of someone or something in a disapproving way. I think "criticism" is considered good when it comes with a reason and a way or suggestion for something or someone to be better. That's what we call "constructive criticism." But in general, to "criticize" something is a negative thing to do. Ex: In school, my teachers criticized me for not doing my work well. Ex: Are you going to criticize what I'm wearing again? Ex: My mentor gave me some good constructive criticism today.
