A "mustache" is facial hair directly between the nose and mouth, above one's upper lip. A "beard" refers to facial hair on the chin and jawline. A "whisker" is a single hair of a beard or mustache. But, "whisker" most often refers to long hairs on the face of an animal, like a cat. Ex: I think you should shave your beard off and keep the mustache. Ex: I have one whisker that I need to cut from my beard. Ex: Tim drew a cat with whiskers. It's so cute!
