student asking question

Would it sound awkward if I say "either" instead of "too" in this context? If so, what's the main difference between two phrases?

Yes! It would be awkward. A phrase you could use instead is "as well," or you could add "also" to the sentence. The difference is that "either" is used in negative sentences. Whereas "too" is used mostly in positive or affirmative sentences. And here, since it's a question form, "too" is used. If it were a statement, "either" would be okay to use. Ex: I can't do it either. => negative Ex: Why can't you go too? => question Ex: I want to come too. => positive Ex: Why can't I also do it? = Why can't I do it as well?
