"Have to do with X" is a very useful and commonly used informal expression. When something "has to do with X," it means that it is related or has a connection to it. Thus, "one possible explanation has to do with straw mattresses" means "one possible explanation is related to straw mattresses." Ex: Can you explain what economic sanctions have to do with politics?
