To "bit the dust" means to end, fail, or be killed. In this video, the woman says "and bit the dust" to mean that the lover dies. Ex: Wow, that competitor is out of the race too. Looks like another one bit the dust. Ex: I just took out the last enemy sniper with a head shot! Looks like he bit the dust.
