A "mineral" is similar to a vitamin and can be good for you. "Minerals" form naturally. They come from chemicals, soil, and food. There are many "minerals" we need to consume to survive as humans. For example: calcium, salt, magnesium, and selenium. There are many others! Gold and diamonds are "minerals" but obviously not for consumption, that wouldn't be a good idea! Ex: This water is fresh from the spring. It contains so many minerals! Ex: The land doesn't have enough minerals to grow a good crop this year.
