Can I say "weight" instead of "mass" in this context? Or are they different words?

In this context, "mass" does mean weight! However, in different contexts, it could mean an object or something with no definite shape. Or a large number of people or objects. Ex: The mass of the object was too big to use for the experiment. Ex: The doctors found an unrecognisable mass in my body. The medical scan shows it. Ex: Masses of people gathered to watch the Christmas lights turn on!
