I thought "house" is can only function as a noun, but what does it mean when it's used as a verb?

When "house" is used as a verb, it means to keep, to shelter, or to provide living quarters or space for someone or something. Ex: My vehicle is housed in the shed. Ex: The cars are housed in the barn. Ex: The Louvre houses many famous paintings, such as the Mona Lisa.
