Is there a difference between "scare" and "scare out"?

Yes! There is a difference. To "scare" someone means to frighten them. Whereas to "scare out" means to frighten someone or something so that they go out of a room or leave a place. You can also place a noun or pronoun in-between "scare" and "out." Ex: Ah! Penny! You scared me. Ex: Let's go scare my friends. Ex: Let's go scare my friends out of the kitchen. Ex: Did you scare out the cat from the garage?
