To "propose" something means to suggest something (like an idea or plan). It is up to others to decide whether they agree/support your proposal. Ex: I propose that we go on vacation next month. Ex: I would like to propose a new business idea. To "require" is to cause something (or someone) to be necessary/mandatory. It's similar in meaning to "demand," which is to request, command, or order something. Ex: I require everyone to wear formal clothes for my wedding. Ex: The lady demanded a new coffee because she didn't like the way it was made. To "persist" means to continue on with something, despite difficulties or hardships. It's similar in meaning to "persevere" or "carry/continue on." Ex: She persisted on with school despite financial difficulties. Ex: Many businesses are persevering despite the pandemic.
