A "sensation" is a physical feeling or perception of something, usually when something comes into contact or happens to your body. The difference between the two is that a "sensation" has to do with our senses and is only external. Whereas a "feeling" is internal and is linked to emotion, but it can also be used to talk about external experiences Ex: The paper has a rough feeling to it. Ex: I like the sensation of the fuzzy carpet on my feet.
