Here, "forward" means in the direction one faces or travels. Toward the direction in front of you. You can use it to express direction or movement to locate a person or thing somewhere, or to give instructions. It can also mean toward the future or to express the progress of something. Ex: Julie, come forward and give your presentation. Ex: She went forward and accepted the prize on behalf of her friend. Ex: If you go forward a bit, you'll be in the parking spot. => driving Ex: The project is moving forward well. Ex: Going forwards, I want to change a few things.
