"Out of" is usually used to express movement from a place or thing, and is usually used with a verb that expresses a state or movement. To be "out of danger" means to no longer be in danger, to have moved away from a state of danger. It's also often used to express that one is experiencing a lack of something, and can be used literally or metaphorically. Ex: You can go out of this building and turn right to find the parking lot. Ex: I'm out of luck. Why do I keep losing? Ex: We're out of toilet paper. Can you buy some?
