Good question! This is a type of dance move, in which the center of one's body goes lower than when you're standing. You can imagine a straight line with a deep curve in the middle, that is called a dip. The "dip" dance move also is a representation of this. Ex: There are a number of dips in the dance routine. Ex: He dipped me low as we danced around the ballroom.
