Is there any difference between "I'm guessing" and "I'm wondering"?

Yes, there is a difference between "I'm guessing" and "I'm wondering". To "guess" means to assume something but to be doubtful because you aren't totally certain. To "wonder" means that you are curious about something and to suggest a possibility although it may or may not be true. Ex: I wonder what to get them as a gift? Ex: I'm guessing they like beer since they talk about it all the time.
