The word "texture" means the physical feeling of something when you touch it. It's not related to the word "text" as in something that is written, but it does originate from the Latin word for "text", which means "woven"! Ex: The texture of the wood was rough. Ex: I don't like the texture of yogurt in my mouth. It's too smooth. Ex: Wow! The texture of this blanket is so soft! Ex: The texture of sand is so weird!
