A "fight" implies the act of "fighting"- a struggle, hostility, or violence between two people or things. It could be verbal or physical! A "confrontation", however, doesn't have to be violent or physical. It can just be addressing a problem or situation directly. Here, he mentions "physical confrontation", which implies a fight. Ex: I was fighting with the printer earlier. It wouldn't work! Ex: I avoid confrontation as much as I can. I prefer to keep the peace. Ex: A: "I got into a physical confrontation today." B: "you mean a fight?". Ex: I'm tired of fighting and shouting at you. Can't we get some ice cream? Ex: I finally confronted my friend and told her I was angry.
