What's a "draft" here? The only meaning I know is the first piece of writing, but here it doesn't sound like that.

Here, a "draft" refers to a kind of breeze! A flow of cool air. But "drafts" only occur inside confined spaces, or what's supposed to be confined. In this case, the back of the boat. Ex: There's a draft coming through the windows. Can you please close it? Ex: I shaved my hair off, and now there always feels like there's a draft on my head. Ex: Where is the draft coming from?
