"Knitting" is when you use two large knitting needles and yarn to create a piece of fabric. When knitting something, it makes larger stitches in the yarn. Sewing is done with a small needle or a sewing machine and fabric to put different fabrics together. The stitches in sewing tend to be smaller and harder to notice. Ex: My sister knitted me a beautiful white blanket for Christmas. Ex: She brings her sewing kit along everywhere in case she needs to repair her clothes. Ex: He wants to learn to knit baby clothing. Ex: I do not sew very well.
