What does the adjective "fair" mean in this context? I think it has nothing to do with "fairness." Could you tell me some examples as well?

The word "fair" in this context means "beautiful". It's not very common to use "fair" like this. However, interestingly enough! She's referencing the story of "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare. The "two lovers" she mentions are the characters "Romeo" and "Juliet". The opening line for that play is "In fair Verona, we lay our scene..", so it's a literature reference! Ex: The couple has three fair daughters. Ex: I wish to visit fair Verona, where "Romeo and Juliet" is set! Ex: This is a fair bunch of flowers!
