Just curious. Why's it not "barefeet?"

Good question! I'm not 100 percent sure why "barefeet" isn't used, but it isn't considered correct in the English language. Whereas "barefoot" is the known adjective. If you wanted to use "feet" you could say "feet that are bare," but it may not be the most natural to say. Ex: My feet are bare because my shoes got soaked in the rain. = I've gone barefoot because my shoes got soaked in the rain.
