student asking question

I've only known the phrase "have something to do" but in this case why "anything" is used instead of "something"?

"To have something/anything to do with [something]" means to have a connection with or be involved with something. For example, if the local community agreed to not have anything to do with the boycott, it means they agreed to not be associated with it or to participate in it. Ex: I want nothing to do with Patricia. She stabbed me in the back. Ex: This problem has nothing to do with you, don't worry.
