"Commitment" and "challenge" have different meanings. "Commitment" means to be dedicated toward something, to work hard towards a goal. It also can mean something that you have to do. In this scenario, she is nervous about the amount of work needed to obtain a driver's license. Ex: Marriage is a commitment. It takes a lot of effort from both people. Ex: I don't think she's ready to commit to this job.
