Kiwi asks…
Why would you say "Oktoberfest"? Is it a typo? Don't you suppose to say "October" instead?
Answer from a Native speaker

Rebecca
In English, yes! It is supposed to be "October". However, since it originated in Germany, the German word "Oktober" is used. It's then compounded with the word "festival", which is the same in German and English, to make "Oktoberfest"! Ex: I'd love to go to Oktoberfest in Germany someday! Ex: My friend's birthday is on the twenty-third of October.
