Kiwi asks…

What is the meaning of "sloppy"? Can you suggest some synonyms for this word?

Answer from a Native speaker

teacher

Rebecca

"Sloppy" is an adjective that means "messy," "careless," or "excessively casual." The speaker has used it to jokingly state that the song is a little bit rough and messy, but still decent. Ex: My painting is rather sloppy. I should work on it a little more. Ex: The song I wrote today is a bit rough, but I think it's a diamond in the rough.
