What's the main difference between an "exclusive interview" and an ordinary "interview?"

An exclusive interview is different because it is only given to one person/company, and not divided amongst others. For example, a major news story has occurred. A victim gives an exclusive interview with one broadcasting station, which means that they have not had an interview about the topic with anyone else. Ex: The victim held an exclusive interview with CBC about her experience. Ex: The pop star agreed to have an exclusive interview with People magazine about her new album.
