Kiwi asks…

Is it common to use the word combination of "dumb old ~"?

Answer from a Native speaker

teacher

Rebecca

"Dumb old" is a pretty common word combination, though it is usually used by children. It is used to mean that a person finds something or someone useless or stupid with no meaning. It does not necessarily mean that the thing or person is "old" in any way. Ex: I can't wait to get rid of this dumb old car. Ex: I hate this dumb old t-shirt. I want new clothes.
