Here "eye-scratching" refers to physically scratching someone's eye in a fight. Thing is suggesting to fight the woman who may be seeing her husband. Ex: I found a scratch on my eye. I don't know where I got it. Ex: Oh dear, Jen scratched Micheal's eye when they were fighting.
