What's "toast" mean? I don't think it means something about bread.

True, this "toast" is different from the toast that you eat. Here, a "toast" is good wishes and respect for someone, usually for or after a speech, and involves holding up a glass of alcohol or some kind of drink and then drinking it. Ex: I'd like to propose a toast to Shaun for finishing his degree. Ex: A toast to the bride and groom. May you live a good life together.
