Is there any difference between "candle wax" and "candle"?

Candle wax refers to the waxy substance used to make the candles only, which is what hamsters like to eat. Ex: Candle wax is oily and high in calories. Ex: Blow out the candles! The candle wax is dripping onto the cake.
