Is there any difference between "a lot of" and "lots of"?
"A lot of" and "lots of" are both informal in nature and nearly identical in meaning. The slight difference is that "a lot" is a little less casual. In casual conversation, it is fine to use either. Ex: I have a lot of good memories of my childhood. Ex: There are lots of upsetting things happening in the world recently.
