What's the difference between "smile" and "grin"?
A "smile" and a "grin" are fairly similar. A "smile" is broader than a "grin." A "grin" is when you lift your lips upward to show the teeth when you think something is funny or amusing. A "smile" is a happy or friendly expression where the lips lift upward to show teeth. You typically smile during photos or when you are trying to be friendly with someone.
