What does "save this bit" mean? Is it a common phrase?
"Save this bit" means to join in and save the joke. WikiBear wants Andy to contribute and say something to make his joke funny. This phrase isn't very common because you would have to be performing or discussing comedy. However, you may hear "save a bit..." This phrase is more common because it means they save a small amount of something. Ex: Could you save me a bit of pie? Ex: Don't worry, I'll save you a bit of food so you can eat when you get here!
