Is the word "stringy" only used to meat? When can I use "stringy"?
"Stringy" as an adjective can be used to describe anything that you think is similar in some way to string. It can be used to describe hair, though this is usually negative. As string is long, thin, and lusterless, which is not desirable. It can also be used to describe a person, usually someone who is very tall and thin. Ex: Her hair was stringy and uncombed. Ex: He was very thin and stringy but he was surprisingly strong.
