A "claw" is a sharp curved nail at the end of each toe. Most mammals and reptiles have claws. A "talon" is a sharp nail on the foot of a bird that it uses when hunting animals. Ex: The eagle's talons are sharp enough to pierce through your skin. Ex: I have to trim my cats' claws every so often. Ex: The American harpy eagle has the sharpest talons. Ex: Badgers have claws that can grow up to 8 centimeters!
