You can use the word "groom" to describe taking care of your hair, either on top of your head or on the rest of your body, by trimming it, cleaning it, brushing it, etc. You can use "groom" in the same way towards animals. "Groom" can be used for humans and animals. Ex: I groomed my eyebrows yesterday, don't they look nice? Ex: My dog's hair got long, so I groomed him.
