"To have your sea legs" means to have the ability to keep one's balance and not feel seasick while on a moving boat or ship. "Land legs" is another related term, which is when a person has the ability to walk firmly and stably on land after a sea voyage. Ex. I don't have my sea legs yet so I feel very wobbly.
