Is "firm" different from "office" or "company"?
A "firm" is similar to a "company", however it is different as it involves a partnership between two or more people or companies. Ex: They established a firm of accountants. Ex: I work at the Kirkland and Ellis law firm. A "company" on the other hand doesn't have to involve a partnership. A "company" is simply a group that is involved in the selling or trading of goods or services for profit. And an "office" is the physical place inside a company or a firm where people work.
