My teacher used to say "pop quiz". Is "pop quiz" the same with "quick quiz"?
There is a slight difference between a "pop quiz" and a "quick quiz". A "pop quiz" is a short, test that is given without any warning. Usually this test has some bearing on your grade or performance in class or something. The phrase "quick quiz" can be used in multiple ways. It can be used in causal conversation as a way of simply asking a question. It can also be used to suggest that a few questions will be asked but the results are not going to impact you in anyway, which is how it is being used here. Ex: Okay, class. It's pop quiz time. Books away please. Ex: Okay class, let's do a quick quiz to see what we remember.
