The idiom "bear in mind" means that you should be mindful of or consider something. Basically it means to remember, think about, or consider someone or something (in regard to something else) when you take some action. This phrase combines the "carry or hold" meaning of bear with mind having the meaning of "memory." Ex: Bear in mind that you've been sick, and take it easy for a while. Ex: Bear in mind that you have an exam tomorrow, try and get to bed early.
