Why does "now" put after "for a while"? Is it giving some additional meaning?
Adding "now" adds emphasis to "a while". Usually, native English speakers say "a while now" when referring to something that has been happening for a very long time, or too long. Ex: It's been a while now since we've seen each other! Ex: I've been needing a new phone for a while now, I should probably get one soon.
